Below you will see the contents of an ad that was placed by Bill's owner, Mr. Kim Klein, some time ago. The very same qualities that Mr. Klein speaks of in his ad ring just as true today as they did back when he placed this ad.
Bill is that rare combination of superior performer and outstanding producer. As a rabbit dog he has proven himself many times over, both at the trials and under the gun. he has the nose, brains, and desire to succed when lesser hounds fail. He is at his best under the toughest conditions, whether extreme heat or sub-zero tempertures.
Bill continues to make a name for himselfas a producer. From his first 50 breedings, he has sired 7 Field Champions and 40 pups with licensed places. Bill is a producer whose parents were producers, whose siblings were producers and whose pups were producers. The last is seen in the number of his pups who have pups of their own placing.
When considering a stud the primary focus should be his ability to sire a high percentage of quality pups, of the kind you want. Bill is producing rabbit dogs. Most are not front end speed merchants and most are not super stylish "slot- runners". Most are genuine rabbit dogs, capable of jumping and running their own rabbit under a variety of conditions. They get the job done under the gun. Some, as I noted above, even make trail hounds. If this is the type of hound you want, you should consider Bill!
On my property I have the sons and daughters stright from Mr. Bill, as well as grandsons and granddaughters and great grandsons and great granddaughters from the Buckshot Mr. Bill line of dogs and the ability and performance that Mr Klein speaks of in his ad above and are very obvious in the dogs I am proud to own and hunt.
Mr. Bill was inducted into the Better Beagling Hall of Fame in 2011 and again into the S. P. O. Hall of Fame this year, 2012. I was lucky enough to be present at the awards banquit with good friend John Waldron and Nick Marino. Nick accepted the award on behalf of Kim Klein who was not able to attend. See Picture below.
Below is a picture of Mcgillivary's Buckshot Crystal, a Buckshot bred female that is one of my very best personnal hunting dogs, that has the traits that Kim Klein and I favor in a true hunting beagle.
Crystal has been bred directly to Mr. Bill using the frozen sperm that I purchased directly from Kim Klein on the very same day that Nick (for Kim Klein) was presendted with the Hall of Fame plaque in Kentucky as pictured above.
